June 8 > winners will be announced - READ ON and FIND OUT Well, contenders and supporters, the past 4 weeks have been full of excitment and drama for us at Candleman. Before we reveal the winners, we'd like to acknowledge the help we received from the guys at ASA, AUSA, ELAM Design School, AuSM, LUSA, OUSA, UCSA, VUWSA and WSU promoting the event. We'd also like to thank everyone who took time to register and vote for their friends. Finally, our biggest thanks goes to the contenders who made this year's Candleman Snowboards design competition possible. Now, let's take a look at the voting results. Over the last week we received more than 1000 votes. Quite predictably, the last day of the voting (the 7th of June) was especially busy and, as it turned out, decisive for the final rankings. After double checking the results and eliminating double votes, we can now announce the finalists. They are:
We feel a bit sad about having to pick only 2 designs - every design submitted looked awesome and deserved to be made into a real snowboard. We hope to see you all back next year. Meanwhile, we will send you something to remember the 09 comp by. As promised, during the week we will be randomly distributing prizes to some lucky voters so keep an eye on the LATEST FROM CANDLEMAN section for updates. The draw will be accomplished by using RANDBETWEEN function in Excel. |
