Your custom Candleman deck with be with you for a few seasons, so it is important to get it right. There are many variables that determine what kind of ride is right for you. We suggest you start with graphics. Your snowboard offers a large canvas suitable for artistic self-expression. You can choose from the many designs in Candleman portfolio or come up with your own. If you have any questions about designing your graphics, or give us a call. We are always happy to help, no obligations.

Virtually any PC based graphics file format is acceptable. Please make sure that raster images are supplied real size at 300 dpi minimum.

Next is the flex of your board. This is important to get right. Your style of riding and your physical size will dictate the appropriate flex. Even very big riders can benefit from a shorter flexier board if all they do is hang out at Snowplanet. However, if you freeride or do competitive slopestyle riding, consider getting a stiffer deck or even advanced laminate tuning.

Custom top sheet

If custom top sheet is all you need, then choose this option. You have a choice of 3 running bases: jib (extruded 4400), pro (sintered 7500) and psycho (carbon infused sintered). Most riders will be satisfied with a jib base - it is tough and durable. The pro base is a faster option and is recommended to riders serious about slopestyle/halfpipe riding. Psycho base is for spead freaks. As far as Candleman Team rides go, only boarder x units get equipped with this base.

Lean and mean

The lean and mean is the latest addition to the Candleman Custom line up. These decks take full advantage of advanced laminates, such as carbon and aramid fibers, innegra and/or texalium. The superior rebounding properties of these advanced laminates allow us to use ultra thin cores. The only decoration on these decks is the small New Zealand map outline made of native Paua shell and impregrated under the transaprent top sheet that reveals the natural beauty and depth of the advanced laminate fabrics.

The lean and mean series snowboards are equipped with the psycho running base, making them extremely capable boards. We only recommend these to experienced riders.
